Cleveland Public Library Celebrates Pride Month With Author George M. Johnson

In honor of Pride Month, Cleveland Public Library and its Rainbow Readers Employee Resource Group (ERG) welcomes award-winning non-binary author and activist George M. Johnson (they/them). Johnson’s bestselling memoir, All Boys Aren’t Blue, recounts their experiences growing up as a queer Black man in America. The book has been hailed as a landmark text that sheds light on the struggles of marginalized groups.   

Known for frank and honest discussions on topics often considered taboo, Johnson will engage Clevelanders in a conversation about banned books, a contentious topic that continues to divide communities across America. The author’s insights are sure to provoke thought and reflection.
