A Salute to Women Gamers at Cleveland Public Library

During the month of March, the Library will honor the accomplishments of women with a series of events and programs designed to educate and inspire the public.

Women rule at Cleveland Public Library. We are celebrating Women’s History Month with a series of events and programs designed to educate the community about the accomplishments of women, past and present, to our city and the world.

“Women are strong, bold, and fearless. We’re CEO’s, entrepreneurs, educators, mothers, politicians, gamers. Our contributions to this country are endless and Cleveland Public Library wants to honor those achievements,” said Dr. Sadie Winlock, Chief Equity, Education & Engagement Officer of Cleveland Public Library.

Some of the best women in gaming and ESports in Northeast Ohio including members of the Cavs Legion will compete and participate in a panel discussion at the Library’s next CPL Play event on Saturday, March 28 has been cancelled.

All major events at Cleveland Public Library during the months of March and April are cancelled. For a full list of cancelled programs.

“CPL Play exposes people to everything from new video games to board games. It also offers a competitive gaming experience for those who love a challenge,” said Tristan Wheeler, Audiovisual & Event Planning Specialist and organizer of CPL Play at Cleveland Public Library. “Everyone is invited no matter your gaming level or knowledge.” ESports professionals, casual players, and enthusiasts alike can learn new techniques and network with fellow gamers and developers.

CPL Play is FREE and open to the public. There is no charge to get in on the action.
