And the winner is… Join us for a night celebrating authors, illustrators, and publishers at the 2020 Norman A. Sugarman Awards ceremony. The award, which was established in 1998, is the only prize in the nation that honors biographies written for children.
Out of an abundance of care, this year’s ceremony is online to help maintain safe social distance and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The Sugarman Awards ceremony will include an appearance from the Sugarman family and these award-winning authors:
- Ashley Bryan, Infinite Hope: A Black Artist’s Journey from World War II to Peace
- Jen Bryant, Feed Your Mind: A Story of August Wilson
- Jennifer Thermes, Grandma Gatewood Hikes the Appalachian Trail
- Sharlee Glenn, Library on Wheels: Mary Lemist Titcomb and America’s First Bookmobile
