Reserve our collaborative work seating areas with teaching walls, wireless Internet access and power, and a SmartBoard. Our learning commons is available to classes and groups, for personal or organizational use.

Word Workshop III
Become proficient in the everyday, academic, and work-related use of Microsoft Word. Word Workshops – First Workshop Become acquainted with the Word Interface; select and format the appearance of text. Word Workshops – Second Workshop Change the alignment of paragraphs of text; apply bullets or numbering to lists. Word Workshops – Third Workshop Refine tables and graphics. Word Workshops – Fourth Workshop Add headers, footers, and page numbers to a document; learn a variety of keyboard shortcuts that will save you time and energy when creating a Word document. Word Workshops – Supplemental Workshop An overview of more advanced Word skills, including: source citation; foot– and endnotes; and text styles. Notes: It is not necessary to attend the Workshops in order. TechCentral will present the Supplemental Workshop if there is a fifth week in the month. CAL-iday Arts Fest Showcase
With the holidays near, we’re culminating festive cheer. CAL-iday Arts Fest is a one-day event experience for youth, families and lovers of arts engagement of Center for Arts-Inspired Learning’s Programming. CAL-iday Arts Fest invites families, teens and artists to experience the ArtWorks Marketplace while celebrating CPL’s Drumming Programming with other opportunities for civic engagement such as an Open-Mic and much more. CAL-iday Arts Fest promotes Center for Arts-Inspired Learning‘s agenda and strengthens the community of educational collaboration and teaches our teens from Northeast Ohio entrepreneurship skills with the guidance of professional artists while celebrating CPL’s Drumming Program taught by Teaching Artist Malik Burks. The CPL program will be coupled with the poetry of Langston Hughes, Tupac Shakur, Maya Angelou, and other acclaimed poets performed by youth from the program. CAL invites teens of ArtWorks of CAL and our CPL partners to join us for CAL-iday Arts Fest to assist in providing programming for the day.
Intro to Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator is an exceptionally robust, sometimes intimidating program, a chest of tools for creating all manner of digitally-designed products. A single, original design can be repurposed into a bumper sticker, T-shirt graphic, website visual, or product table display banner. This introductory, skill-based workshop will tackle the most daunting obstacle facing those new to the program: effective mouse and keyboard interaction with Illustrator's interface, tools, design elements, and features. The goal of this workshop is to provide you not only with a strong, foundational Illustrator skill set, but also the confidence to expand it.
