Excel Workshops III
Acquire a robust foundation of Microsoft Excel know-how. Excel Workshops – First Workshop Familiarize yourself with the Excel Interface; select and format the appearance of data; and perform simple calculations. Excel Workshops – Second Workshop Use Excel to perform calculations on increasingly larger amounts of numerical data. Excel Workshops – Third Workshop Create versatile tables from spreadsheets; and turn raw data into visually interesting charts. Excel Workshops – Fourth Workshop Round out and refine your existing Excel know-how; and explore future areas of study and specialization. Excel Workshops – Supplemental Workshop Increase your productivity in Excel by taking advantage of various time-saving program features. Notes: It is not necessary to attend the Workshops in order. TechCentral will present the Supplemental Workshop if there is a fifth week in the month. You may request that Supplemental Workshop’s instructional material via one of the contact methods below. Stress Free Series
Unwind as we celebrate National Stress Awareness Day throughout the month of November with programs for kids. Week 1 – Let go of stress while you build unique creations. Week 2 – Paint the stress away as we paint while being surrounded by the beautiful views of autumn. Week 3 – Color the stress away using an assortment of coloring mediums on our colossal coloring sheets and paper.

About Rice
Located in the Buckeye-Larchmere neighborhood near Shaker Square, the Rice Branch is surrounded by an active arts community. The library’s meeting rooms are often used for art displays and musical performances. Parking is free.
History & Architecture
Rice Branch was first established as a school library at Harvey Rice School and then a storefront on Buckeye Road. After becoming a library branch in 1927, a new building was constructed on East 116th Street. The current branch on Shaker Boulevard was built in 2010. Inside, high ceilings and wood beams evoke sophistication and warmth. Outside, red brick pays homage to the original branch design while a curtain of tall glass reflects the images of the neighborhood.

The Rice Branch shares a campus with The Harvey Rice Wrap Around School. Each has their own, dedicated, free, parking!
Special Features
- Rice houses the only local author collection in the branches of Cleveland Public Library.
- In the summer of 2023, local artist Mac Love drew a mural, outline of the Buckeye-Shaker Neighborhood. From there the community painted to mural! This is a must-see!
- The Learning Center at Rice Branch seats approximately 18 people in an environment ideal for educating and can be reserved for open group meetings and small gatherings.
- Rice also has a large audio/video collection and a wide selection of popular magazines.
- Rice features a well-balanced collection for all ages, included a growing and dedicated teen/YA collection.
