Art Therapy for Kids & Teens
Art therapy is a form of therapy that utilizes the creative process of making art to improve and enhance mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Sessions include talking alongside art-making to help kids & teens explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences through various art mediums. This free series of weekly art therapy sessions open to kids and teens ages 6 to 17 (with written parental consent) is offered by Art Therapy Studio and is facilitated by a trained and licensed art therapist who has expertise in both psychology and art.
About West Park
Aptly named, West Park is the westernmost campus in the Library’s system. The newly reimagined building has three meeting rooms, the largest of which can accommodate up to 41 people. Please contact the branch for more information about reserving the meeting rooms.
History & Architecture
Completed in 1928, West Park is one of many Cleveland Public Library branches created by the architecture firm Walker & Weeks. A modified English Tudor, the branch is constructed of red brick with stone trim with a beautiful slate roof and leaded glass bays. At 14,400 square feet, West Park is one of the largest branches. West Park Campus was renovated in 2021-2022 by Vocon and now features an elevator and spans two accessible floors, with adult materials on the main floor and children and teen spaces in the lower level.
