Microsoft Excel Workshop

4:00 PM – 5:30 PM | Garden Valley

Acquire a robust foundation of Microsoft Excel know-how. Excel Workshops – First Workshop Familiarize yourself with the Excel Interface; select and format the appearance of data; and perform simple calculations. Excel Workshops – Second Workshop Use Excel to perform calculations on increasingly larger amounts of numerical data. Excel Workshops – Third Workshop Create versatile tables from spreadsheets; and turn raw data into visually interesting charts. Excel Workshops – Fourth Workshop Round out and refine your existing Excel know-how; and explore future areas of study and specialization. Excel Workshops – Supplemental Workshop Increase your productivity in Excel by taking advantage of various time-saving program features. Notes: It is not necessary to attend the Workshops in order. TechCentral will present the Supplemental Workshop if there is a fifth week in the month. You may request that Supplemental Workshop’s instructional material via one of the contact methods below. About Garden Valley

At 3,517 square feet, Garden Valley is one of Cleveland Public Library’s smallest branches. Garden Valley offers free wifi and public computers with Internet access. Printing, copying, scanning, and faxing services are available for a fee. A meeting room that seats up to 15 is available for reservations; please visit the branch for more information. Free parking is available throughout the Bridgeport Place Plaza.

History & Architecture

Garden Valley more than makes up for its small size through a focus on convenience and innovation. The branch first opened in 1969 in an apartment building as part of the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. In 1973, the branch moved to the Community Services Building.

The current facility opened in 2008. Today, this branch serves a large number of children in the surrounding community.

Special Features

During the school year, Garden Valley offers a Kids Café, a partnership with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to provide free bagged lunches for children.
The branch also provides meals to youth in the summer as part of the Summer Lunch Program
