We are happy to offer our patrons Gale Courses (formerly Learn4Life), an exciting resource that makes it easy for you to take free high-quality courses and career training programs online. There are a wide range of classes including computer applications, web design, accounting, and personal development. You can see a full listing of courses by selecting “View Catalog. Courses are FREE with your library card.
Follow these 4 easy steps to get started:
- Enter the Gale Courses site and request a passcode.
- Browse the catalog, choose a class, click “Enroll Now” and select a start date.
- Sign In or Create an Account and enter your library card number.
- Return to the Gale Courses site when your class begins and start learning!
How long are the courses?
Unless otherwise specified, all courses run for six weeks. You will be granted access to two lessons each week of the course. Each lesson is accompanied by a short, multiple-choice quiz, and some lessons may include a hands-on assignment. You are expected to try and complete each quiz and assignment within two weeks from when the lesson is released. The course will conclude with a final exam. You will have two weeks from the last lesson and final exam to complete your studies and submit the final exam.
How many courses can I take?
You can take five courses within a 12 month period.
