Cleveland Public Library is pleased to announce the hire of two new members to its leadership team: Ashley Boyd is the new Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Tiffany Graham Charkosky will serve as the Director of Arts and Culture. 

“Cleveland Public Library recruited two experienced leaders to help our organization meet the evolving needs of our community. Ashley Boyd and Tiffany Graham Charkosky will bring their expertise and skills to reshape how the Library engages with the people we serve,” said Felton Thomas, Jr., Executive Director and CEO of Cleveland Public Library.

Under Thomas’ leadership, Ashley Boyd will ensure diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and programs are incorporated throughout Cleveland Public Library.

Boyd comes to Cleveland Public Library from the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities where she has served as the DEI Administrator and has been responsible for optimizing organizational culture and aligning the organization’s DEI goals with the organization’s strategic plan.

The East Cleveland native earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology at Kent State University, a Master’s in Public Administration at Cleveland State University, and a professional certification in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.

Tiffany Graham Charkosky, Director of Arts and Culture

In her role as the Director of Arts and Culture, Tiffany Graham Charkosky will bring her 20 years of experience at LAND studio to Cleveland Public Library. She will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy to develop and showcase exhibits; create partnerships with visual arts organizations; support fundraising efforts for public art exhibits; and serve as a catalyst and partner for other arts and cultural events at the Library.

Graham Charkosky received a Bachelor of Arts from Kenyon College and a Master of Urban Planning, Design, and Development from Cleveland State University. “Cleveland Public Library is truly more than books. It’s full of art, history, and vibrant sculptures and exhibits,” said Tiffany Graham Charkosky, Director of Arts and Culture at Cleveland Public Library. “I can’t wait to bring attention to our world-class art collection and recruit artists to showcase their works throughout the Library system.”
