Cleveland Public Library has received top honors for its financial reporting.
For the tenth year, the Library received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association. This year’s award is for our annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2020.
“On behalf of the finance department and Library staff, we are honored to achieve this distinguished honor for the tenth consecutive year,” said Carrie Krenicky, Chief Financial Officer at Cleveland Public Library. “This award represents our commitment to transparency and our efforts to spend taxpayer funds that benefit the city of Cleveland.”
The certificate is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
Krenicky adds, “This achievement wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Cleveland Public Library Board of Trustees whose careful and judicious oversight continues to guide the Library.”
