Cleveland Public Library offers a wide range of services designed to meet the needs of all users. From free access to computers, high-speed internet, and printing, to hands-on classes and one-on-one support, the Library ensures everyone has the tools and knowledge to succeed in the digital age.

Public computers are available across all 27 branches. All are fully equipped with:  

  • Microsoft Windows & Office Suite 
  • WinWay Resume Creator 
  • Rapid Typing Tutor 
  • All public computers feature “211,” “311” and ”ABC Mouse” on desktop interface. 

Accessibility Tools

We offer Adaptive Technology Stations with Jaws, ZoomText, and Sorenson Video Relay services at select locations: 

  • Ohio Library for Blind & Print Disabled  
  • Eastman 
  • Memorial-Nottingham 
  • Main Library
  • Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • Rice
  • South Brooklyn

Reminder: For computer use, you must have a CPL card. We are able to look up accounts with a valid ID. Guest passes are available upon request.  

Chromebook Lending 

With a valid ID and good-standing CPL library card, rent a Chromebook at any branch location. In library use only. We hold onto your ID until Chromebook is returned.  

Mobile Hotspots 

Just like a book, borrow the internet thanks to a generous grant from The Cleveland Foundation. With a mobile hotspot, enjoy 24/7 internet access with unlimited data on a fast and secure network. 

Borrowing Rules: 

  • Checkout period: 28 days 
  • Who can borrow: Must be 18 or older and have a Cleveland Public Library card in good standing 
  • Limit: 1 hotspot per person, with no renewals or holds 
  • Returning: Allow 24 hours for processing when returning, and note that hotspots will be deactivated if overdue
